In 2012 Sony announced their first 4K television.
The team geeked out and we decided to push ourselves to try and make our first 4K content. Everything was shot 4K anyhow, maybe our chunky silver macs could do it. Beautiful art direction and design lead by Leo Nguyen. There were some long renders and late nights.
Two awesome achievements sprouted from this creative. Firstly Leo won the Promax WORLD Rocket Award (he moved on to work in New York after). Secondly the promo was featured at SMPTE on those very new shiny Sony 4K televisions.
Francesca infamously broke down on the SMPTE conference floor crying ‘It’s so high res… I can see my tears…’
